About About The Ministry: Break Free, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry operating primarily in Lincoln County, WV. Our mission is to introduce students to an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and to the freedom from sin that He offers. We attempt to accomplish this task by using culturally relevant methods of evangelism. We organize and operate events with contemporary Christian music, speakers, skits, breakout sessions, and other various activities geared towards teenagers. We hope that through our efforts, students will be inspired to better listen for, pursue, and follow God with their whole hearts. We also strive to help and equip adults who work with youth, as well as provide them with a network of similar ministries. Break Free organizes an annual youth conference at Lincoln County High School that began in 2009. Throughout three years of our conference (as well as other, smaller events) we have been blessed to see many young people come to know Jesus. Break Free brings in around 500 students from our area and we're hoping that number continues to climb so we can reach as many as possible with the good news of Jesus! We are expecting great things at Break Free 2012. Break Free will be absolutely free for all those who attend. To make this possible, we need your help. This event will be held May 4 - 5, 2012 at Lincoln County High School. Our hope and prayer is that this will be an event that crosses denominational and church boundaries and unites youth from all over the area. In order to see this happen, much prayer, planning, and community cooperation is needed. This is your opportunity to help make a positive difference in the lives of our youth!

I'm the hometown boy. I've lived in Hamlin, WV my entire life. I married my high school sweetheart, Amanda, and we have two children, Bella and Micah. I'm the youth pastor at Hamlin Baptist Church and I have strong ties to the community. God has given me a passion for youth ministry in this area and I have been blessed to be able to watch Him work through Break Free. I am also a student at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, working towards a Masters degree. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, playing music, and going fishing.

I'm the outsider. LoL! Actually I have spent a good portion of my life in Hamlin, WV. Most of my family still lives in the area. I currently reside in Flatwoods, KY with my wife Kristy. We were married in May of 2010 and are still very much in the honeymoon stage! I have worked with youth since 7th grade. I currently attend First Baptist Church Russell where my wife and I help with the College & Career ministry and with Upward Sports ministry. I am also attending Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing my Masters. God has given me a passion for His church and the family and I have loved seeing Him work through Break Free. In my free time I love speaking at youth events, traveling and spending time with my wife, and I too love fishing.

Directions

Note: The LCHS address does not register on most GPS devices. If you are using GPS, navigate to "7866 Lynn Ave., Hamlin, WV 25523." This address is just across the street from the entrance to the high school.

From Charleston:

Take US 119 South to the Alum Creek Exit. Take Rt. 214 South for 9.1 miles. Veer right at the fork to get on Rt. 3 West. Follow Rt. 3 for 12 miles. Lincoln County High School is on the left after you pass the football field and go through and S curve.

From Hurricane:

Take Rt. 34 South until it ends. Turn right onto Rt. 3 West. Follow for 2.7 miles. Lincoln County High School is on the left after you pass the football field and go through and S curve.

From Huntington:

Travel on Rt. 10 South for approximately 19-20 miles, depending on where you start. Veer left at the fork to get on Rt. 3 East. Follow Rt. 3 for 4.7 miles. Lincoln County High School is on the right after you pass McDonalds. If you get to the football field, youve gone too far.

From South:

Take 119 North and get on Rt. 3 West. Follow Rt. 3 for 22.3 miles. Lincoln County High School is on the left after you pass the football field and go through and S curve.
